Kobbie Mainoo what a star in the making he is...

Started by: chatty (9771)

I know the club have really high hopes for him and were bitterly disappointed when he got injured pre season.
Plays with such maturity for someone so young

PS Does anyone else think thicko may have stitched himself up here?

United beat arsenal pre season and rice never touched the ball for 25 mins, mainoo was man of the match and was all over the park. Great energy, super star in the making.

Correct Tiger, his willingness to accept the ball in any situation for someone with so little first team experience and of such tender years is a joy to behold

A star in the making .
No doubt about it .Always been highly thought of by
Utd .
Keep your eyes open for Danny Gore .
A terrific 19 year old mid fielder in the under 21s...

Why have I been stitched up? You did exactly what I wanted

I said "thicko" had been stitched up but it didn't take long for the message boards most paranoid poster to claim it
Please don't hijack the thread.

Moving on, Kobbie's balance when running with the ball is really impressive and his positional play is exceptional

Mainoo may well turn out to be good, but don't forget you have to let him grow, overhyping a player can always happen just look at what happened to Antony casemiro Sancho pogba Sanchez mount falcao de maria rashford hojlund ect ect

The lad seems to have the talent i just hope he maintains the right attitude and doesn't follow the example of three or four other players who's attitude and work ethic absolutely stinks. And before i get accused of being a so called ABU i'm just saying it like it is. And even the most diehard United fans must surely agree.

Why are some folk wanting to put the cart before the horse, if someone is coming on here on a ( very) regular basis trying purposely to antagonise around half a dozen posters why is the onus on them to put him on "ignore" and not for him to wind his neck in?

Chatty.. .
Wolves v Utd the other day .
Three Utd academy players each scored in the victory
I wonder if this has happened before in a P L game .?

Over 50 players who have come through the academy have gone on to play over 100 games for United, a tremendous record.
You might be surprised grim to hear it isn't the first time 3 academy players have scored in a Premier League game, what won't is that it was Beckham Butty and Scholesy who did it on a couple of occasions
And another couple of times an ex academy player has scored an own goal when playing for the opposition to complete the trick

Chatty... As you rightly say a great record regarding utds academy graduates.
I should have recalled the three players you mention .
Thanks for posting the info.

grimshaw....With our unrivalled record of bringing through youth players as you have already touched upon I thought it would be beyond strange if we hadn't already achieved the feat you mentioned
A quick perusal through my Rothmans football books of the year collection confirmed that we indeed had on more than one occasion

As you say a unrivalled record .The class of 92 often payed tribute to Eric Harrison who recognised and then cultivated the terrific talent who all prospered under his tutelage .
I see in the Mirror today Southgates recognition of the outstanding Mainoo.

I don't known if you bet online or still visit a bookies and feel the pain of handing over your money grimshaw?
I'm not a massive gambler but normally do a coupon and the odd horse on a Saturday, I have a couple of online accounts and most do offers and the odd free bet, now Coral do a free pick 7 on a Saturday which is basically a placepot where you have to get each of your selections placed to win part of the £25000 pot, the less who manage it the more you win.
After about 3 years doing it most weekends I have managed it once and won a couple of quid, which gives you an idea of how short priced the placed horses were that day.
It's a lot harder than you would imagine (for me anyway)

Hope you win

Chatty .
I normally bet on line but on saturdays i go into Betfred in order to put my footie coupon on and cash bet my horse selects at the same time .
Had a 2 - 3 losing footie wagers lately but struck back yesterday with a long list home wins treble which more than made up for my horse bets loss ..
Hope you had a winning day .

According to reports Southgate plans to fast track Kobbie into the full England squad for the upcoming euro tourney .
It will depend if Kobbie decides England rather than Ghana as the nation he wants to play for .
Another feather in the cap for the famed UTD academy .
